Musgrove Street Fire
On Aug 27, 2024, a devastating fire swept through downtown Clinton, leaving several of our beloved small businesses in ruins and others damaged. These businesses are the heart and soul of our community, providing not only goods and services but also jobs and a sense of local pride.
Shortly after the fire, Main Street Clinton collaborated with the City of Clinton and the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce to consolidate the numerous efforts to support the affected businesses and the broader recovery and revitalization of our historic downtown. We are so thankful for those who stepped up in support of this great cause - to help our local businesses and neighbors.

Main Street Clinton has dispersed one round of financial support to the business and building owners who were directly impacted. Now with the vacant site in the hands of the Clinton Economic Development Corporation for revitalization, we are ready to accept grant application for disbursement of additional funds to businesses directly or indirectly impacted due to road closing, interruption in utilities or other fire related issues.
